Test your mastery of pageant poses with this practice quiz! For each group of photos, select the most correct version of the requested pose. The quiz answers are listed at the bottom of the page along with an explanation for each.

Please note that some of the correct answers here may not be the most ideal poses themselves, however they are the most correct out of the photos given. Often when judging a pageant, you may only have imperfect entries to choose from, so you just have to use your knowledge of BCRS standards to place the ones that are most correct.

Eyeroll: Photo 3
Photos 1 and 2 are more "looking" faces, 4 is not on knees, 5 is lidded, and 6 is seated on the ground and also has a weird mouth and position overall.

Squishy smile: Photo 3
Photo 1 is more lidded, 2 is more of a shy smile but is definitely not a squishy smile.

Shy smile: Photo 3
Photo 1 is lidded, 2 is a squishy smile, and 4 has weird/awkward facial proportions.

Big smile: Photo 1
Photos 2 and 3 have no mouth corners and are too flat, 4 is not a big smile, 5 is lidded, and 6 has weird proportions and is also too flat.

Kissy face: Photo 5
Photo 1 has a weirdly-shaped mouth and she is falling, 2 has weird proportions, 3 is lidded, 4 is another weirdly-shaped mouth, and 6 is a "how do i look" pose and not a real kissy face.

Shocked face: Photo 4
Photo 1 has weird arms and is more of a "how do i look" pose, 2 and 3 are not shocked mouths and also have lidded eyes, and 5 has a weird body position.

Halfmoon smile: Photo 1
Photo 2 is not on knees, and 3 is a cheesy grin and not a halfmoon.
